My Blood Group Decides What Should I Eat!!!
75
Everybody knows that the secret of a healthy body is balanced diet and a bit workout. But what kind of food should we eat?? What kind of exercise will work the best in our body?? Well, it is decided by our blood group. Our blood group determines whether we should drink milk or avoid peanuts, or play golf instead of running. Our diet should be according to our blood group and such kind of diet is called the blood group diet. Nutritionist says that the food proteins called lectins is digested differently as per the blood group. If your food is not compatible with your blood group then you may experience many health problems. Hence, if your food is fit for your blood group, it will help you reducing your body weight, improve chronic health conditions and prevent certain kind of diseases.
Dr. Peter D’Adamo, the founder of the blood group diet, says that a chemical reaction takes place between our blood and the food we eat which occurs differently in the person with different blood group. His diet plan instructs us what type of food we should include or avoid in our daily diet plan rather than counting calories. Each food group is divided into three categories: highly beneficial (foods that acts like medicine), food allowed (foods that do no harm to the blood type) and food not allowed (foods that act like a poison). But still more scientific study is needed for this diet plan to be universally accepted.
The different blood groupers are suggested that they should have the following kind of diet to avoid the conditions you are most susceptible to:
Blood group diet for blood type A
Blood type A are suggested to have a vegetarian diet with fresh organic food and yoga and they are advised by Dr. D’Adamo for golfing. They should avoid heavy proteins and have carbohydrates. They have thicker blood than other blood types, a sensitive immune system and should not consume dairy products, animal fats and meats.
They are at a higher risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.
Blood group diet for blood type B
Type B should drink more milk and avoid fruits like corns, lentils and peanuts. They are advised by Dr. D’Adamo for hiking. They should consume a balanced diet (fruits and vegetables, grains, fish, dairy, meat, but avoid chicken).
They have the best chance of bypassing or overcoming everyday types of diseases, including heart disease and cancer.
Blood group diet for blood type AB
Type AB can have a diet chart of the combination
of both the blood groups A and B.
Blood group diet for blood type O
Type O must eat high proteins and they are advised for running. They should basically stick to a high protein diet (including red meat), low carbs, and enriched with fruits and vegetables. They should limit the intake of wheat germ, whole wheat products, corn, and avoid dairy products and most nuts.
Type O types are commonly affected with hypothyroidism, high stomach acid (leading to ulcers), and thinner blood with greater resistance to blood
clotting.
NOTE:Follow your blood group diet only after consulting your doctor. The key is in moderation. If protein is advised in your blood group diet then that doesn't means that you should not eat carbohydrates. Our body needs everything, some of the things more in amount and some other in lesser amount. Eat healthy, stay healthy.
For the negative blood groups, the diet is same. There are some very minor difference in quantity that should be consumed. For example, blood group O is advised to eat high proteins. O negative should eat proteins in moderation. Research is still going on at the blood group diet.

I stay away from meats for the biggest part, rarely red meat but that can be replaced with several different bean types. I eat chicken but most of it is dumped so full of salt I soak it in the fridge overnight and rinse several times. The US government put so many restrictions it is hard to have a business here but when it comes to food they tell us nothing and we have hardly any idea where it comes from. I am finding me a farm this summer and good luck to them, I think I want to live. They don't eat the trash so why should I have to.
Very interesting hub. I'll have to find out what blood type I am.
Also would love to see you write some stories on India.
I write on India as a traveller but would love to hear about Calcutta from your point of view.
Hi Sneha what a very useful and interesting hub.
I am a type O and I follow almost the diet above and I am very healthy.
Milk from a cow makes people congested but goats milk is fine. I wonder why that is?
I notice you changed back to Calcutta :)
When I was a kid Pluto was a planet too! lol
Great hub voted up and IU buttons pressed.
I love mutton and my blood type "O" says it's OK to meat mutton. Yeah! I tend to follow this blood type/food type pretty well and am glad you had written this.
THANKS FOR GOOD WORK DONE. HOWEVER, I WILL LIKE IF THE BLOOD GROUP AND WHAT TO EAT RESEARCH WILL BE EXTENDED TO WEST AFRICA PARTICULARLY GHANA. THIS WILL HELP US TO KNOW MORE ABOUT OUR LOCAL FRUITS, VEGETABLES, CEREALS,...
